Sachse Dent Repair for Deep Creases and Broken Paint

Some dents can be massaged out. Others have creased the metal or cracked the finish, and those need body work and paint. We tell you which kind you have and plan around it.

Knowing Which Kind of Dent You Have

Not every dent is a candidate for paintless repair. When a dent has cracked or flaked the paint, or the metal has folded into a sharp crease, pushing it from behind won't give a clean result. That's where conventional dent repair comes in: the metal is reshaped, a thin layer of filler smooths the surface, and the area is primed and refinished to match. Around Sachse, these tend to come from a cart blown across a lot on Ranch Road, a pole in a tight garage, or a low-speed bump in traffic on 5th Street. We look at the dent, tell you which method fits and why, and give you a timeline before work starts. That way you can choose when the car comes in around your own week.

Pieces of a Conventional Dent Fix

A deep dent takes a few distinct stages. Each one is planned so the next can start on schedule.

  • Method decision up front

We check the paint and the crease depth first. If paintless repair can do the job, we say so; if not, we explain why conventional work is the better plan.

  • Metal worked back into shape

Hammers, dollies and pulling tools bring the panel as close to its original contour as possible before any filler is used.

  • Tension taken out of the panel

Sharp dents often stretch the steel. We shrink those spots with controlled heat so the panel doesn't oil-can or pop later.

  • Filler used sparingly

Only a thin coat goes on to smooth the surface. Heavy filler cracks over time, so the metal does most of the work.

  • Primer and block sanding

The area is primed and block sanded until the surface is flat to the touch and straight to the eye.

  • Paint mixed from your code

Color is mixed from the car's paint code, adjusted to the actual panel and blended into the surrounding area.

  • Gloss leveled to the panel

After the clear coat cures, the repair is wet sanded and polished so its shine matches the rest of the car.

  • Outdoor light inspection

We look at the repair outside as well as under shop lights, since real sunlight shows things booth lighting can hide.

Taking a Dent From Damaged to Done

  1. Step 1

    Look at it together

You show us the dent, and we check the paint, the crease and what sits behind the panel. Then we explain whether paintless or conventional repair fits. The estimate comes with how long the car should be in the shop. If insurance is part of it, we walk you through that too.

  2. Step 2

    Shape and prep

The metal is pulled and hammered back into contour, and any stretched areas are shrunk. A light coat of filler evens out what's left, then primer goes on and gets block sanded flat. We check the panel against the light before moving on to paint. If the job runs behind plan, you'll hear about it along with the reason.

  3. Step 3

    Refinish and wrap up

Paint is matched, sprayed and blended, then clear coated and given time to cure. The repair is polished to match the gloss around it. We inspect it in daylight and let you know it's ready for pickup. Any trim we removed goes back on before you arrive.

Why Drivers Here Trust Us With Deep Dents

The right method, said plainly

We won't push paintless repair on a dent it can't fix, or paint a panel that didn't need it. You get the method that fits the damage.

Metal first, filler last

Doing most of the work in the metal means a repair that stays smooth instead of showing a ring down the road.

A plan that fits your week

You know how long the car will be here before we start, so you can arrange a ride or rental without guesswork.
